Who Is It For?
A thread lift is ideal for men or women with mild to moderate visible signs of aging such as skin laxity. The typical patient of a thread lift is between the ages of 35-55, but patients of any age who are not candidates for a full facelift due to underlying health conditions, may also opt for this less-invasive treatment.
How Does It Work?
Using a fine needle, a barbed or non-barbed medical-grade and dissolvable thread is inserted under the skin to light and tighten. In addition to mechanically lifting the tissue structures of the treatment area, the thread also promotes the production of collagen to encourage firmer, healthier skin. Treatment areas include: jowls and jawline, brow, under-eye, forehead, cheeks, and breast area.

What to Expect
A thread lift is performed in-office under local anaesthetic. Most patients prefer to take a day or two off, but some opt to return to work after treatment. Some patients experience bruising or swelling in the treatment area. Immediately following a thread lift, your results may appear exaggerated or overdone, but within a week or so your face (or breasts) will settle into a more natural-looking position. If you are unhappy with the results of your thread lift, the sutures can be removed and the results reversed.
