Dry Skin? Let Genesis Help You Achieve Optimal Hydration!

Your skin is constantly shedding layers of dead cells. This is how your skin regenerates but if this natural process is interrupted or impaired, your complexion can present as dry, dull, and flaky. Dry skin also exaggerates wrinkles and fine lines. If you do not ensure that you are providing adequate hydration to your body’s largest organ you will notice accelerated aging, wrinkles, skin laxity, and sagging skin.

At Genesis Medical Spa, we offer multiple treatments to optimize hydration leaving you with a youthful, plump, and radiant complexion.

Our preferred treatments for skin hydration include:

1. Micro needling with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy

Micro needling with PRP therapy uses your own blood cells to improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines as well as minimize the appearance of scars from acne or other injuries. The platelets in your blood contain growth factors which stimulate collagen production leading to plumper skin with fewer wrinkles. A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm and placed in a centrifuge which separates the red blood cells from the plasma containing the platelets. Once the plasma is isolated it is applied to your face along with a micro needling device which creates tiny punctures in the top layer of your skin allowing for better absorption of the plasma-rich platelets.

2. Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels are an ideal way to refresh and rejuvenate your skin, improving texture and colour, minimizing scarring, softening wrinkles, and revealing your natural beauty and glow.  Also called derma peeling and chemical exfoliation, this non-surgical procedure uses a chemical solution to create a micro injury to the layer of your skin causing it to peel and stimulating new cell growth. The new skin that is revealed will be smoother and brighter. At Genesis, we offer a variety of chemical peel treatments that we can tailor to your specific skin type and your goals for treatment.

3. Medical Grade Skin Care

Medical grade skin care is suitable for all skin types and products are available to treat a variety of medical and cosmetic skin concerns such as:

Acne
Psoriasis
Rosacea
Dull and dry skin
Hyperpigmentation
UV protection and sun damage
Wrinkles

Medical grade skin care, also known as cosmeceutical skin care, is different from the brands you would find at a drugstore, makeup store, spas, or even at a high-end department store.

The concentration of active ingredients in medical grade skin care is higher and these products are required to be available only at facilities where there is a medical director on staff such as a dermatologist’s office. These products must meet or exceed stringent pharmaceutical standards for research and testing, contain 99.9% pure active ingredients, and follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Medical grade skin care products use the highest concentrations of scientifically proven, effective ingredients. These products are cleaner, more stable, and do not degrade as quickly as cosmetic-grade products. Medical grade skin care products use more advanced mechanisms of absorption so higher volumes of the active ingredients can penetrate more deeply into the skin.
